Random thought: To do G6 or above practical, it is a condition that you have G5 in theory, jazz or practical musicianship.

What if you had jumped straight in with G8 in one of these, rather than doing G5? The syllabus says G5 must have been passed, not 'G5 or above' must have been passed...

I'm guessing you can get an 'exemption' in the rare cases that someone takes e.g. G8 theory without having taken G5 theory/jazz/PM (and before they get to G6 practical...)

OK, so it's unlikely, that's what makes it a random thought rather than a serious enquiry!

The board were happy with my Grade 6 theory, which was on their computer, rather than needing me to send in my old Grade 5 certificate plus marriage certificate. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Does that mean that Gator-ade is made from liquidised alligators? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I *think* the suffix is French-related, but more than that I don't know...

-ade on a wiki page

Doesn't really mean fizzy apparently!

*has learnt lots and lots of new stuff today- from names, to bells stuff, to the middle part of Teddy Bears' Picnic (which I have never heard before), to changes, to tittums... and now the meaning of the suffix -ade!* *brain frazzled* (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
