Make sure no fabric softener goes in when you wash them. I have been involved in the chemistry of fabric softeners since the first 'Comfort' in 1970. A fab soft definitely reduces water adsorption, yet most people add them for hand and bath towels !

FSM - were you the kid at school who was always messing around with chemistry sets and setting off explosions at home in the kitchen? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Please don't - it sounds like some terrible disease acquired from playing the clarinet! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Or alternatively, it almost sounds as awesome as "maledictis" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Can't have that!

No, I must have the most malevolent user name (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I'm thinking it might be nice in a sarnie with cheese spread, but I could be wrong.

Marmite is best on toast, and I do like it, but for some reason it gives me horrible indigestion if I have too much (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Marmite is excellent on toast. Also quite nice in a sandwich with cucumber (sliced quite thickly, of course)

Noooo you're doing it wrong! Cucumber should always be sliced thinly! (or diced in chunks with tinned red salmon).

OK, well you can slice the cucumber thinly. But then you have to pile on multiple layers of it to get enough crunch.

I think maybe I do this because a lot of the cucumbers you get these days are pretty tasteless and bland (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) It means you get less blandness in a bite!

A fresh one from an allotment or garden is fine to have sliced a bit thicker, though! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I finished one from the vegetable/salad patch at lunchtime! Sure, it didn't look as aesthetically pleasing as some, but it was yummy! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

My random thought: I need to find my "posh" bag tonight before going smart do tomorrow, and I have no idea where it is! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I fear I may have to remove large empty computer boxes, and old 'cello cases (I have 2 old cases, "just incase" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ) from just inside my office (basically storage room that runs alongside my bedroom) as it may be in there... I'm not sure the light works at the moment, or what else is in there- all my uni kitchen stuff is in there I think... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
