Good grief - it looks absolutely lethal! Just shows how important they felt fresh air was in those days, though.

I wonder what things we do our children will look back on with amazement?

I bet there were very few children with a fear of heights back in that era! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

My teacher has suggested that I try a piano duet with one of her other students (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

Barry, please be careful. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) That's how I cracked a bone in my foot almost 2 weeks ago now...

Sol, piano duets are so much fun! Matthew and I are working on the Arrival of the Queen of Sheba atm. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

My next door neighbour had a banana omelette for his tea tonight. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

How's the foot feeling now, Miss Ross? And how are you getting on with your course?

My foot is still getting worse every day, or so it feels! The bruising looks really quite grotesque! I have some crutches now though for when it gets really bad, which help. My course is starting next week, but freshers' fortnight has been great so far, thanks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I hope you are ok.

You have a whole fortnight for fun before the course begins?! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) York sounds like a great place to study. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I wondered why you had time to see so much of Matthew at the moment.

Sorry to hear that the foot is looking worse, but it's good that the bruising is coming out well. It should start to feel better soon, although I suspect it will take a long time to feel really right again.

I'm OK, thanks. I'm really enjoying the Choral Society I've joined; we had another great rehearsal tonight. We're doing two performances of Messiah in December, in celebration of the 125th anniversary of our founding, and Southern Sinfonia (a locally based professional orchestra) will be playing for us. I can't wait!

It is great, yes! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Well, we study in the same city so it's not really hard to find time to see each other. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Yes, you're probably right. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Wow! Enjoy that! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
