I've not started munching on bits of coal yet, so no, I don't think that by some biological miracle, I am pregnant like that American "fellow" was a while ago! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) EDIT: If I am, that could be painful in 9 months' time... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I get cravings for beetroot occassionally too..less pungent than pickled onions, but leaves a nice beetroot coloured moustache by the time the jar is empty! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
Yes it could... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) |

On another topic - am I the only one that feels completely ridiculous talking to one of those automated voice recognition things? I was just paying gas and electricity bills and felt like a right idiot (and was getting frustrated with it interpreting "nine" as "one") (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)
Why don't they just let you use your keypad? |

Then go and get some and some corned beef , and make a sandwich with them ! I still want the corned beef pasty I asked for at lunchtime. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) *wishes she had gone back to complain* (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) |

Ha Ha - positive proof that Sol has a cockney accent! I say "nine" as "nyne", not "noine" (which still doesn't sound remotely like "one"!) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) It's their carp systems (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) |

My mother can't read.
I sent her an email saying "please can you find 'the very short introduction to music' on my shelf and send it to me." Two days later, i get a parcel containinga pair of socks and 'the very short introduction to mathematics'. Wonderful! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) She's probably guilty of doing what I do sometimes... I read the first bit of the sentence and skim over the end of it, not really taking it in. It's cost me marks in exams before where I haven't read the question properly. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif) |

Does anyone know what a tick with a cross through it means? I'm redrafting a couple of essays, and my tutor's provided plenty of notes, and help and stuff... In bits that he hasn't specifically discussed with me, there are these occasional hybrid tick/cross things and I don't know what they mean. Occasionally they crop up by points that I really do think are right/fully developed, so I assumed it was just a weird sort of tick... Now I've just seen one by a point which was total rubbish and waffle though... So I'm confused!
Do I maybe have more rewriting to do than I bargained for? |

But they're next to some of the points he told me were good. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) They're kind of not tick crosses, but like... ticks with a bracket through them... |

Maybe he ticks all the points he thinks are good, and then crosses them all out as he counts up the ticks in order to give you a mark?

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) Not seen them, but I think my maths teacher at school fancied me, because my exercise book was always full of kisses whenever I got it back from her!
