Filled the car with petrol on the way to work this morning, which took £66, and mused that the first car I bought after passing my test cost all of £65! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

In a similar vein, although admittedly not so dramatic, my Grade 5 Theory Exam last year cost the same as it did to enter me for four A'levels and an S'level, back in 1978.

I know the feeling - mine took £55 to fill yesterday.

That's £5 more than the cost of my first car - a J2 MG. and only £445 LESS than the cost of our first house after getting married. The same house, in York, last changed hands for around £150,000!

If you have Windows 98 SE you can use this: http://www.ephpod.com/

Can't you at least upgrade to XP? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

I think that if you have Windows 98 then it is time for an upgrade in Operating System!

Itunes is unfortunately not backward compatable with 98.

I don't use umbrellas. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

The rain's stopped now, so I'm going to make a dash for it and will probably get drowned half-way home (given that it's a 35-40 minute walk...). (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

I can get well over £80 worth of diesel in my 80 litre tank . But I remember petrol at 3/6d a gallon, roughly 4p a litre and I'm not the oldest forumite by a good few years.
