What meat do I take out of the freezer to defrost overnight for tomorrow's dinner? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
Or shall I have fish? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) |

In the end I popped into the butcher's and bought some marinated 'minted-lamb steaks'. Yum! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

I was dismayed then to discover some members of staff who actually videoed episodes that they might otherwise have missed! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) |

However, I have watched the US series of The Apprentice - it's a slightly different animal to the UK version, no doubt constrained to fit in with the torrent of commercials that pepper US TV. Asked to choose though, the UK version would win hands down - it's much more geared to the tasks than rival personalities and back-biting. |

I agree : gearing the programme to the tasks works so much better, and the various personalities still manage to shine through. Plus there is a certain aura about Lord Sugar that Donald Trump, for me, just doesn't have. It would be a little scary to go into a boardroom with Lord Sugar at the table. Don't think Donald Trump has that 'scariness' factor... |
