So many people have cats!!!!

My dogs have one official name and then lots of secondary names according to what they're doing or just because we're all soppy and love them.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

Morgan - named after the speedy car and speedy horse (she was a whippet). Sadly she died last month of old age (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Zinzin - french for crazy. Morgan's daughter. She was hand reared because Morgan was ill and she was a real fighter and full of zing so we thought Zinzin was appropriate. She's also called 'Zinderbin', 'Stinky' (the family name), 'Zinny' and 'Hey you!'

Phoenix - he nearly died as a baby and then rose like the bird - also hand-reared. Morgans son and Zinzin's brother. Also known as Pheender, Bean, Stinky, Wee Man and Snowball.

Jayjay. I like my dogs to have two syllable names because it catches their attention quicker than a single. So she started as Jay but it ended up doubled. Also known as The Supermodel, Fatty and Stinky. (yeeees all my dogs answer to 'Stinky' (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) )

Milly. Hubby's working labrador. Answers to Milly-willy-willy-willy-woo-woo.. well it makes her tail wag a lot (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Also anwers to 'Mildred' on a Sunday (and Stinky), Fartypants and Moo.

Zoomie - well he's always doing the 'zoomies' and speeding about all over the place so the name suited him very well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Also answers to Zoomster, Zoomzie-woo, Stinky and Zmzmzmzmzmzm....

Lottie - the baby of the family and cute as a button and knows it. Named after Carlotta Mia from Phantom of the Opera (not my choice) so I pretend she's called Charlotte - and yes!.. it's my username too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) . Also anwers to Lottie-bottie-boo-boo, Stinky and ######-ey (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

From left to right Jayjay, Milly Phoenix, Zoomie, Zinzin and Lottie;

Brodie, aka Widget, Widge, Squidge, Wiz ((IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)), Mutt, Muttley, Cu Dubh (Apparently gaelic for 'black dog'), Peedie - (Orcadian for small, honest!) and Gnasher. He does answer to all of them, but then I think he'd answer to anything if you sound excited enough!

I like your picture, Lottie. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I had a house rabbit called "Rex" - not sure why he ended up being called Rex, but the name seemed to suit him! He was very tame and friendly - people were amazed to see a rabbit living in the house. Unfortunately he died back in the summer - lived for 8 and a half years which is not bad going for a rabbit!

A photo of him - he was a Tan rabbit, not a breed you see often. Click to see full size image.

Nice pic, StuMac.

I used to have a hamster called Nelson. He had one red eye and one black one, hence the name. That said, my first choice of name was Wotan, but it got changed to Nelson when my sister asked what sort of name Wotan was for a hamster (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

His cage is still sitting there empty, so I suppose I ought to either sell it or acquire another hamster.

Ive not had a dog myself, but in-laws Border Terrier was 'Watson' usually modified to Wattie.
He had an element of Sherlock Holmes Dr Watson in him.

We have 9 (I think) fish, none of which have names. I had a slightly interesting conversation with my conductor who told me I whould give my fish names, otherwise they'll get depressed and that he should know, since he used to be one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

My violin teacher has three spaniels called Bronski (Brod), Schubert (Schooee), and Paddy, who are loverly though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Schubert sometimes just sits there and whines to himself which is fairly amusing... and Bronski often lays on his back and waves his legs in the air while I'm playing (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Have three cats:

Huge and sassy tom named Whitney Roo (long haired black and white tuxedo. HUGE!) He's 4.

Whitney's son, Mister P**phyhead. He's half black and white and half Siamese on both sides of his bloodlines. He looks like a long haired Jack Russell terrier, with a chocolate brown "hate" that goes over his eye and a deep chocolate brown long bushy tail. He has a cream colored saddle, insists on sleeping on my chest and watching me online by crawling under my shirt, snuggling close, and popping his head out the neck of my t-shirt. He's 3.

Pita, is tiny, the size of five month old kitten. She is a gray tabby, short haired, and 14.

They are sooo cute.

We have a dog called Molly, she was named when we got her and thought it went well with our other dog who was called Rosie.

Our first two Budgies were called Angel and Bluebell. Angel was a little devil, she died a couple of months ago after a trip to the Vet, Bluebell died shortly after we got them and must have been sick without us realising it.

We now have two new Budgies Star and Jazz, theya re quite tame and will sit on your finger, the laptop or anywhere so long as they can be together. The girls named them, it's obvious which one belongs to which.

Our current Hamster is Maizie, my daughter named her after her other one Ruby died of old age.

We are a dog family really but are very fond of our neighbours cats. Recently we named a young cat who has adopted our elderly neighbours, it's all black so we called it Luicky (not sure of it's ###).
