How do we know that thread was actually started by her? My guess is it's someone from here pretending to be her. After all, she has several accounts here - if she'd wanted to post. the real Lorna LInley didn't need to have another account to do so.

She was an early creation in the life of the forums, so I guess she's actually a reflection of the author's own experiences in the same way as Bridget Jones relates to Helen Fielding. Personally I enjoy the writing style which seems just to err on the right side of over-confidence and inflated ego.
