Eeeee.   Thank you to me for the nice fangirly present to me, which arrived today :wub:.

 

And it looks as if A Slightly Crazy Plan is going to come off :) :) :).

A present from a wee lass who was so ecstatic about achieving a distinction in her Grade 1 theory that she cried tears of happiness when she heard. :)

Playing a lot of loud crashy chords to release frustration. Chopin polonaise op 53 is brilliant, even if I'm massacring it at the moment

Violin lesson with a 9 yr old who had put in a splendid effort at learning a new piece over the holidays almost entirely by herself - she'd got it nearly memorised despite it being longer than previous music that had taken significantly longer to learn, and doesn't need to do much more than speed up the two tricky passages.  I understand her violin accompanied their family holiday! 

 

If she keeps this up we are going to have a LOT of fun.

(equivalent standard of current pieces very roughly grade 5)
