Ours has been ovened, and is now maturing with frequent swigs from the brandy bottle. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I appear to have bought a 1972 Land Rover Series III for the winter! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

You must have a veritable fleet of vehicles now!!! I was at Brooklands today, and there was a very nice E-type there... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Oooooo E-Type - my favourite car of all time (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

The cars come and go we never have more than about 5 at one time! Land Rover is sort of a needs must thing as it will go anywhere.

Which brings me to the next lot of good news ... there will be NO snow this winter as I have bought a Land Rover (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

What's made me happy? The fact that today is nearly over and tomorrow I shall be in Ireland!

1) Having a day with no teaching - and, for the second day, no other work-related stuff either

2) Having a great lunch with Bagpuss and two old friends with whom we met up again at the funeral of our dear friend Phil three weeks ago

3) LOVING the pub they suggested we meet at - quite a dive in lots of ways but loved it - and it was at a gorgeous location on the river near the Thames Barrier (which I'd never seen before (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif) ). Could have stood and looked at the river all day..such a quiet place that you would hardly know it existed..

4) Choosing two new felines with whom to share my home and life (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

I think I know the pub you mean. The beer actually isn't all that bad... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

and I've only spent half an hour at the piano and have solved two of my irritating problems (er, two out of about 20374183592 remaining, it feels like, I hasten to add)

I'm going to bring them home to Cyrilla Towers next Tuesday :-). I could have had them now but I'm away for four days in Brum at the end of this week.

Thanks Floss! And well done on the new job!

I keep thinking about the two cats..I've spent an inordinate amount of time internet-shopping for cat beds tonight (when I saw them today they were curled up together in one, washing each other (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) ).

Aww they sound lovely, Cyrilla!

And well done to Floss!

For me, it's a gorgeous sunny day here in Gib, far better then yesterday's torrential rain (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
