Lots of things!

A dozen red roses. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

A heart-shaped box of my favourite chocolates. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

(I did have to drop hints yesterday to OH regarding his lack of romanticism, though!)

My flute teacher suggesting I buy my first two Mozart CONCERTOS! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/eek.gif)

Thinking I would have to work all night on a piece of work that has to be done for tomorrow, only to find that actually the deadline has been extended another month - phew!

After over 51 years of absence, I doubt if he's going to suddenly make an appearance... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Just had a thoroughly good scare at the pictures; went to see The Woman in Black. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) : (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) : (IMG:style_emoticons/default/eek.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hides.gif)

Much better than I was expecting. Shan't bother to listen to Sarah Churchwell on Newsnight Review again (she rubbished it). What pretentious nonsense she talks!

Hope this is the first of many. It would be great if someone did a really good cinematic version of The Mist in the Mirror; another scary tale by Susan Hill (although if they ever did, I doubt if I would ever do another note of organ practice!)

You were right! He made a late, and rather sheepish appearance with a box of chocs last night - hurrah! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I still have a funny feeling about "The Mist in the Mirror" a long long time after reading it. Absolutely no way in this life am I going to see "The Woman in Black". (I scare very easily (IMG:style_emoticons/default/eek.gif) ) although it sounds very good - I just know that it would scare me rigid for months.

Got a confirmation for the Alexander technique workshop I applied for. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) The 25th of march will be Alexander day for me. Three hours workshop on basics in the morning, followed by 45 minutes single lesson in the evening. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yay.gif)

Emailed manager to ask for afternoon off - to go to Cambridge with non-functional brand-new iPad.
A bit later I cunningly thought I'd switch the iPad on to write down the error message to show the shop.
iPad promptly decided to work and let me complete set-up via a physical connection (yesterday didn't give me the option - it connected to wifi, was happy with the connection, but would go no further).
Took iPad off of physical connection and returned it to wifi only.
And it works.
Emailed manager and said I didn't need the afternoon off now (but probably should have taken it, just to play with the iPad (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif))

Also had an email from my mother who is currently in Australia to say she'd seen something in a sale and could I go to the UK site and see if it was on sale in this colour and size, and if not in another colour, and don't worry, but but but...and managed to order the thing she wanted in her size in her first choice of colour. So that will make her happy which is nice (even if it does now mean I have an account on the 'FitFlop' website (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif))
