For the first time in ages I feel motivated (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) This has been a long time coming (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Want to get other stuff done apart from playing my piano all day - though piano is still just as important (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Bit late as this relates to Friday. The concert orchestra rehearsal was in a disused factory - down a single track road in rural Cheshire. Accoustic was very good - odd surroundings though. They're trying to develop a sound studio and general facilities etc.
Anyway, we had a playthough of the Dvorak symphony 9 - the slow movement and main section of the first movement. The slow movement is hard, but we made a decent fist of the first movement. Trouble is we concluded we need more instruments - too many parts missing. |

Just done my A level music exam- im pretty happy with how it went. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Well done - nice to have a good feeling about an exam. Son is doing his A2s at the moment - some exams seem ok and what is expected, and others seem to be not quite what's expected (and it's not just him - he's checked with his friends too.) I agree with the "not quite what's expected" part Susie-I'm doing A2's at the moment as well and several papers have had complete curveballs for questions (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Glad your exam went well floboe! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Same here. Son's science exam reportedly contained several questions relating to subjects that hadn't been covered in the syllabus. Some of their pre-release papers were wrong as well. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) SB AQA A2 biology, perchance? No. AQA A2 Applied Science. I gather that none of his classmates knew the answers to the questions concerned either, so it wasn't that he hadn't been paying attention. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) SB |

Been in a tent, and am still alive (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I thought you were "tent-averse"? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Whilst they have their places and I have enjoyed the odd encounter with tents, I do tend to prefer bricks and mortar - I suspect it's an age thing (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |
