These recent purchases are to do with my planned exploits for next May (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ...where you go and spend endless nights underneath a tarpaulin, and I don't (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) not endless, only 5 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) Happy for today - it's Yorkshire Day (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |

My happy for today.
Our daughter has just come home from band practice with her friend (11), and his young brother who is just seven. The little lad has wanted to play cornet ever since his big brother started, and has now been given a well worn but shiny silver cornet of his own to learn to play. When they came here he couldn't wait to get his 'new' cornet out of its case to show us, and to blow a few notes. I am sure the cornet is bigger than he is, but he blew into it very lustily. The sound echoed along the length of the street. His mother told him to shush in case he disturbed the neighbours, but the grin on his little face was priceless. My mum found a traditional picnic hamper in a charity shop and bought it for me to take to meets in the back of my car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Something a little bit like this (but more vintage, we reckon it's probably 1960's made) - (IMG:http://www.basketwaredirect.co.uk/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/f/h/fh007-0_1.jpg) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Oh yes! Don't forget the napkins and the preserves. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
And if you fancy some music, shaking a 1960's Thermos flask makes a sound remarkably like a Castanet. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) SB |

And another who got Grade 4 Piano after major family problems at home and missing several lessons close to her exam by no fault of her own. It makes teaching so worthwhile to have such keen, enthusiastic pupils who work so hard (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |
