They are great. I've had mine almost a year, although I swapped only because my previous (rather large) computer developed an undiagnosable fault. I do all my lesson prep on it, as well as internet and email.

Have fun!

With some aprehension, I e-mailed a parent to tell them basically that their child wouldn't be ready to take Grade 1 at Christmas - just inherited them from another teacher (probably a clueless teacher!). Got a really nice e-mail back to say they quite agreed and they trusted my professional judgement and experience (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/party1.gif)

That's good Seer_Green!

I'm happy because I can work from home today, rather than taking the train into the office. Must actually work though!

Have you stuck to this resolution, or did the clarinet call? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

The accompanist for my DipABRSM candidate has just phoned to tell me that my pupil played really well in her exam in July. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I have in fact managed to do all I strictly need to do for today! It hasn't taken me quite so long as I thought (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I'll probably spend the afternoon/evening interspersing physics with flute and clarinet though.. will proof read and send it off first though!

Reminds me of many moons ago when I used to go blackberry picking with my dad. He liked to make blackberry wine...until one year when one of the demi-johns exploded! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) From then on he was banned by my mum. Bless him. Would love to go with him now, but he passed away in 1983. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

On a happier note..I've been scouring the shops for bits and pieces for my flat when I move in. Can't wait to have my own home again (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

That reminds me of my dear old dad, who used to like making elderberry wine amongst other things.

Like you, there was an 'incident' in the airing cupboard, where the elderberry wine bubbled out of the fermentation lock rather more vigorously than he had expected, and our clean white sheets were no longer white. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Thankfully my mother was quick to forgive, but I don't think she ever forgot! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

If by any chance you could use a kitchen/dining table plus a couple of chairs let me know. I've got one that will be going spare in a few weeks time when the kitchen renovation gets underway and you'd be most welcome to it.

The new kitchen will have a breakfast bar and I won't need a separate table any more.
