Overtaking the school bus that my kids had just missed and beating it to the local bus station - the kids were most impressed with my sneaky driving - so was I !!!

Unusually, my teenage pupils at school, who were better at turning up and more on the ball than the (usually reliable) ones who come along after school.

Even happier now I've been wearing my new specs for a few hours. I can really see!!

I hadn't had an eye test since I started teaching and I'm sure all the music reading hasn't helped them.

I signed a contract today and that made me happy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

It's going to mean an awful lot of work for the next five months but it could be a huge break for me.

We'll just have to see how it goes.

*feels nervous, excited, unsure, over-awed and a bit scared too*... but happy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

my piano teacher said she could tell i'd been practicing my scales (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Makes a change from practicing them loads and being told they're still not right.

... it's amazing what a difference a longer bit of daylight can make.
I totally agree with you. The worst time of year for me is when you go out in the morning and it's still dark and by the time you get home it's dark again. Totally horrid...(IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

Well done Miss R for the French results.
Thanks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

A surprise visit from a friend of mine who is at uni has been the highlight of today, I think. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

General madness at the zoo school...

Our teacher (reading from a worksheet): Imagine you are a chemist...

My friend (half standing up and flinging out her arms, in a theatricle manner): I AM a chemist!!

Oh dear...
I do love my friends, but they really do worry me sometimes... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) A very nice young camera man from BBC offered to put some sound effects from their library on to a disc for me for our next choir concert. We need an air raid siren and then the All Clear. (Ask Skylark why next May!) He had come to interview King Rat and I made him a panad.

I'd better ask Great Aunt Liddy if I can borrow her hard hat and gas mask then! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I'm happy today because I've just done my first piece of marquetry! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/woot.gif)
