QUOTE(lottie @ Jan 12 2009, 09:24 PM) *

Today I finished off dozens of boring old chores so tomorrow I can start a new project of work and I'm really excited (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

(I also feel a great sense of achievement from thoroughly cleaning my oven this morning (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/party1.gif) )

Oh, oh oh and then I had a GREAT practice session with my violin and continued knitting my sock this evening so I'm really happy now... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Sounds as if your energy levels are back to normal then - anyone who can face cleaning an oven must be very fit! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Pleased to hear you're feeling so well.

I know what you mean about the car. I watched my neighbour chucking some hot water over his windscreen the other day. I thought doing that would shatter the windscreen, but it didn’t. I don’t think I will try it.

My husband does this every time his car gets iced up and (so far - but we are talking decades!) it's never shattered the windscreen. Yet I still refuse to do it to my own windscreen, as I feel it ought to shatter it! Is this just me refusing to learn from experience? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I think you'll find windscreens are made from pretty tough glass!

I know, but knowing my luck I would have the one that gets broken lol

Oh it's a horrible job isn't it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ill.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
And not because my oven is that dirty, because it wasn't really, but because of the fumes from the oven cleaning stuff/spray/foamy gunk bleaughghghghg

The reason I was cleaning a relatively clean oven is that we've just bought one of those combination microwave/convection ovens and we won't be using the 'big' oven now. There's only two of us so the 'little' oven will be enough.

And it's the first time in ten years that we've had a microwave... we've forgotton how to use it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

(okay I'll stop going on about ovens now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif) )

What's made me happy today is that I don't have to clean my oven..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Not today but at music club a few days ago. One little lad was trying to work out the correct rhythms to fit Polar Bear. He placed three crotchets down. His friend who was a year younger at six years old replaced them with two quavers and a crotchet and said to him "Get real, Mate!" That kept me amused for the rest of the day. Yesterday really but I'm still happy today (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

- My clarinet teacher telling me that I'm not as far off thinking about G5 as I thought I was (although I can't say I'm in much of a hurry (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif))

- A fantastic opportunity being offered to a friend!

I've just been shopping online (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)...

I've bought a new pair of brand new Crocs (£12 from ebay)

A new bridge for my violin as requested by my teacher (from someone that doesn't charge postage because it was making me mad that some companies were trying to charge £2+ to post a tiny little violin bridge (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) )

Some new canvas and paint for my next commissions (yippee)

It makes me very happy I didn't have to drive anywhere for the things I needed because it's throwing rain outside and the city is over 40 miles away.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/party1.gif)

Happy that there's some different/interesting news tonight (the NY Hudson River Airbus incident) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ...and much much happier still that everyone survived, with no real injuries at all- amazing, hooray! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
