Got home to find that my nice new hardback copy of Chopin's Preludes Op.28 has arrived (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Wonderful! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

What's made me happy...a) it's my birthday, b) looking forward to a night out tomorrow with great people (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Turns out I DID get the Tesco job, so I'm pleased with that! It'll get me a little Christmas shopping money (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Well done Stephie! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thank you! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Too much positivity is never bad! Though it can be quite intoxicating, makes you giddy sometimes (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Being told that my pitching has improved dramatically since the start of term by the Head of Music. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) It was rubbish before, and is now OK-ish. Still, that's a start...

I got the solo I wanted in gospel choir (because I was the one who wanted it, but still!) and then someone came up to me in the break and told me it was the best they'd ever heard the solo sung in the years they'd been in the choir. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/hurrah.gif) Good for you! Hope it doesn't wear you out - I always feel sorry for shop staff at this time of year.

1. Bagpuss' pupes getting excellent results in their AB exams (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) .

2. The BBC being interested in making a Radio 4 programme about Kodály work in this country next year.

Ah!! Indeed!!! Big Plan #1 is up and running, but Big Plan #2 has been on the back burner for a while - so you could be right... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) .

The girl who came to interview Alan and me for the Last Word prog has a degree in musicology and was most interested in finding out more - so I suggested the idea to her and the producer and they both went, 'YES!'

I've had a great 2 days! Newbury Choral performed Messiah on successive evenings. It was wonderful! We had a superb conductor, great professional orchestra and soloists, and the whole thing was just magical. I feel so privileged to have sung in it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Yesterday, rather than today, but playing saxophone at a wedding, and seeing, and having a good chat to meerkat for the first time in 18 months (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
