Thanks everyone who's congratulated me. I got halfway up my ear rim pierced in celebration (I am too easily led). I have no problems with piercings, they never hurt me (really, I am in more pain from plucking my eyebrows), and I think it looks nice, despite knowing most people would disagree. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
I'm suddenly feeling very dizzy and ill though. Delayed reaction, or lack of food? Anyway, My new piercing's made me happy today, despite the dizzy feeling. Flossie - I am going to drop into my former tutor's office hours tomorrow I think... I hope she doesn't just look at me like I'm mental. |

My cold is pretty much gone (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) and my clari exam went OK - except the aurals, but that was expected (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) Glad to hear it went well, madbassoonist (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) it's great feeling when you know it's all done, isn't it? Booking tickets to hear Bryn Terfel in Die Meistersinger in July. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) They'd almost sold out so we were lucky to get them. Counting the days already!

The fact that Oldnotes and I managed a complete and more than passable rendition of the Weber Concertino for Clai and piano today for the first time ever!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yay.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/party2.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Still some work to be done but it's now more of a definite than a definite maybe in both our minds for a performance in the not too distant future. I almost managed my chromatic on Bb on the sax which I can never manage because my fingers aren't long enough and my lungs aren't big enough!

Getting my tickets for the Beethoven Study Day this coming Sunday at the Southbank Centre! They'll be looking at the social background of the times that the nine symphonies were written, and in the sfternoon, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment will be analysing the Eroica symphony on period instruments! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) Can't wait! Anyone else going? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Sounds just up your street DC (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I'll be in London, but I'll be watching Emma Johnson... Some of us are going to the royal festival hall at 3pm. I'd be up for meeting afterwards if the times match. |

It's quite possible that something could be arranged afterwards (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) There are still tickets available for the study day btw. |

I'll be doing the Rach No 2 (not the mambo no 5-ho ho ho) thing. Hmm, we'll be suspiciously close to waterloo and a certain pub (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I didn't even know that was on, but I'm sure there will be plenty more opportunities to hear it seeing as it's so popular (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Hmm, we'll be suspiciously close to waterloo and a certain pub (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Sounds like a plan!
