My VERY motley crew of Y6s singing Rutter's 'A Clare Benediction' absolutely BEAUTIFULLY in Rochester Cathedral today!

And yesterday (too tired to post last night) - my gorgeous, GORGEOUS Monday night group doing their Kodály Intermediate Exam (from 6pm-10.30pm!) and all doing really well.

One very happy Cyrilla Bunny (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/yay.gif) - Rochester Cathedral is a glorious place to perform, glad the performance and the exams went well. Any forum people in your Monday night group? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Going in my garden early this morning and hearing the most out of tune violin sound!!! 3 totally out of tune notes being repeated over and over again!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
I couldn't make out which house it was coming from but it really brought a smile to my face. It's nice to know that some neighbours are also into music and learning to play an instrument!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Having a 'taster session' on two instruments, trumpet and violin. Both hard to play, but I definitely want to learn one or the other come September. Now I just have to choose.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Violin. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

It's also great for developing a good ear, which would enhance your clari and bassoon. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Yes, I know...I really need to develop my aural skills. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)
The thing is, violin would help with noticing which notes are wrong, and whether they are sharp or flat, and correcting them. Trumpet would probably help with pitching notes in the first place - getting the right harmonic, whereas it's less obvious if the notes are slightly wrong. I'm not that good at singing and I honestly don't know whether I have the problem with pitching notes or knowing if they're right or wrong.

Perhaps I should take singing lessons (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I have always wanted to be able to play folk fiddle, but I've also wanted to learn trumpet for quite a while now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Sounds like you could do with one of those 'one-man-band' get-ups - big drum on the back, harmonica at the front ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

The fact that on my Facebook profile, there was a bar on the side that said "Many who like Cheryl Cole also like Wispa." I'm presuming they meant the chocolate bars, but I can't help but wonder if they meant Cheryl Cole should whisper....

Oh - I'll be up there on Monday, but far too late to hear your motley crew (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) (perhaps the hint of an echo of a last, lingering note...... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif))

Last year I accessed the Blackwell's Bookshop website and ordered copies of '371 Harmonized Chorales and 69 Chorale Melodies' together with a book 'Bach Chorale Harmonization and Instrumental Counterpoint'.

On the invoice email they sent was a section entitled Related Items. What was the entry? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I got that, but with Buttons - I think there is correlation between her and chocolate.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

12 year old kids can be so cruel... School induction days and a mate got told by a primary pupil that "you only think you are cool because you dont shave". (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rofl.gif) and then followed by "my uncle had his first beard when he was 14" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) made my day partly cos im jealous of people that can grow decent beards (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

Also the genius in france song cheered me up. Youtube it if you dont know what i mean (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
