I did it!!! I just played Pachabel's canon unaccompanied on the violin at a wedding and DIDN'T FALL APART.
Huge step forward, I'm so happy! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Well to almost finish the week, which started with meeting an HRH, I had a great time playing a duet with Clavicembelo today at Cardiff...he sure knows the meaning of presto! Wow, it was great fun! Thanks Clavicembelo - I really enjoyed it.

Getting through tonight's concert with my terrible cough! Could hardly speak yesterday, but with the aid of Lemsip, Strepsils, Merocaine, Benylin and raspberry vinegar, I managed to hold my own in the quartet. I had decided not to do my solo (we do 1 each normally) but when asked for an encore at the end of the evening, I had a go at "Take a pair of sparkling eyes.". Went down a treat. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sing.gif)

Also, was very proud of our soprano (Mrs Stetenorve) who performed "Voi che sapete" very well for her solo!

And we've been asked back to the same venue to do a Christmas concert. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yay.gif)

I very much hope she doesn't mean ME! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) I'm only 6' 5" after all! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Never...you're a gentle giant I'm sure, clavi! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

And by the way, Scotliz very kindly giving me a lift back to Cheltenham following a grand day out at the Cardiff event, passed a shop window with precisely this written above its doorway: 'Daisychain Benevolent Fund'? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

What's that all about, eh?! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Due to an accident, I've not been able to work for the past two years. I'm glad my needy state has been circulated around the country! All donations gratefully received. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Glad you had a good time in Cardiff.
