DD got an A* in her Biology GCSE paper. We are so pleased for her because she got a terrible mark in the mock just before Christmas and worked really hard all through the Christmas holidays to try and improve.

Band practice was really good, our concert pieces sounded so much better than last week (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Now looking forward to my clari lesson tomorrow, getting some feedback on the pieces I was set and going through my Glasgow piece with the accompaniment. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Lovely news, both of you! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hurrah.gif) Well done to your children - it's great when all the hard work pays off. Onwards and upwards!

Three A*s in Biology/Chemistry/Physics modular exams. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

However, I'm more impressed with my friend's results - she got an A* in Chemistry, an A in Biology despite not answering any of the 'long questions' (she has extra time and a scribe but still couldn't finish) and a B in Physics... despite only answering 2/3 of the paper (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)
