If it's automated, is it possible that a post will appear on this thread, for instance? I hadn't got round to blocking him/her yet, and just got a bit of a ashock in a thread in which he/she/it wasn't the last poster - as my son walked past behind me. He'll probably now report to dad that mum has taken to looking at porn of a Sunday afternoon...

So it would be sensible if nobody replied in any way to one of the threads already contaminated!

Looks like just the posts, which is good for the 'real' threads. I hope they also delete the whole threads, like this one, which refer to the incident though ...

I'd be surprised if they didn't - hardly good publicity for a forum to be full of threads warning people about it being full of porn....

Hi everyone

We've now removed all the offending posts and banned the user/spambot/whatever or whomever was doing this. Thanks for the heads up and sorry not to have been able to act sooner.

If we've missed any, do drop myself or another mod a PM and we'll get right onto it.

We'll raise the issue of weekend moderation with the team next week - it was just unfortunate today that none of us were at home and able to act when forums members got in touch.
