There was quite a lot emotion at my school yesterday - I guess you take things for granted until they change...

Today my OH and I drove 300 miles (round trip) to a huge formal funeral. We were dressed in black all day too and the scenery was gorgeous. I had bought the prettiest little white cotton hanky with a lace edge but I held it together and was okay. I even took a spare hanky in case anyone else needed it but everyone was very up-beat. OH and I just sat and held hands and trembled a bit.

On the way home we stopped in a very pretty little village. We sat in a tea-shop, dressed in black, and ate buns and talked about absolutely nothing significant. When we got back we walked the dogs in the woods and then ate a huge Indian meal, watched a TV program about serial killers, and now we're both exhausted and going to bed to read the new magazines we bought in the village.

Altogether an unusual day.

Oh, and Benson.. don't worry about shrinks - they can't control your mind (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Had an exam, and everything I revised / memorised for wasn't in the paper. How ironic the only time I properly memorise something for my degree it doesn't actually come up, and I still have to resort to deriving things from first principals and general blagging (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

My day was good but I could do with a few more hours of it.

I've always thought a 30-hour day would be much more practical length than 24 hours (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Just put my chickens out to discover that my prized white silkie cockerel has been eaten by the local fox. I also had one of my beautiful Indian Runner Ducks eaten this week too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Think I will be borrowing my neighbours rifle very shortly.
However, hopefully today will be better - I have a chick due to hatch today!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hurrah.gif)
