i would like to get into accompanying, but im only grade 2 piano, so are there any boards that do (im in the UK by the way) accompanying from grade 1?

I think grade 2 is a very early stage at which to start accompanying. The whole essence of accompaniment is to follow the soloist, and it's hard to do that until your piano skills are a bit more advanced. I expect that's why LCM think you should be playing at around grade 4 standard to do grade 1 accompaniment.

As Iona says, it's a good thing to work towards. Why not talk to your piano teacher about it and see what she says?
