Hi,
I just wanted to know, what grade you should be on to get a diploma? im on Grade 5 violin, and Grade 3 piano, and Grade 4 music theory, do you think I am ready to take the exam??? Manpreet :rolleyes: |

Manpreet,
You need to pass Grade 8 in an instrument before you are allowed to sit for the first of the diplomas, DipABRSM, for that instrument. In addition, if you are doing the DipABRSM in teaching, a mininum of Grade 6 theory is also required. |

The first is DipABRSM, the second LRSM and the third (and last) FRSM. |

They have the same letters and the same ordering, it's just that the subject of the examination is teaching rather than performing.
