Just finished piano teaching for today. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)
It's been one of those days. First pupil forgot all her books! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/glare.gif) (Fortunately I had my crystal ball out before going to school (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) and took along every possible book that we could need.) Then this afternoon, my first private pupil, a lovely child, had quite a good lesson - he's only a beginner, aged about 7. He wasn't too rusty. So on handing him over to mum, I said he was getting on ok, and she said "well, I didn't think he'd last this long" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (He's only been with me a term.) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) The school secretary was a bit down in the dumps and she's not usually like that. It seems to feel as though we should be in that week about half way through a half term when you've forgotten what the holiday felt like, and half term is still too far away. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Is anyone else getting these sort of vibes? |

Have to confess I might be one of those slightly irritable ones. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) I do remember what Christmas felt like and I am refreshed BUT after a few lie ins over the hols (Both me and the kids) it's taking a little adjusting of our body clocks. I Agree, but most people are slightly irritable around this time especially as its so cold and with the credit crunch.......... |

I could feel a bit irritated myself, - our house is a tip and I could do with one of those folk off the tv who clear out people's houses and sell all the rubbish at car boot sales.
BUT I have been resolutely good humoured with all pupils and professional people that I've encountered. The only ones to get a bit of a tongue-lashing have been the OH and sonny Jim, and they're used to me by now. I feel as though it's an uphill struggle to be good humoured - my efforts haven't been appreciated in this respect today. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/angelic.gif) [Sorry - this probably isn't helping people to feel better - I should have headed it up "mini-rant".] |

i'm feeling really down and irritable at the moment too...and it's almost contagious...as soon as I think i'm having a happy moment, someone either appears in a poop mood and I get down again or someone happens to do something that just gets on my nerves a bit...weird eh?
I guess there's lots of factors; post-Christmas, credit crunch, exam period, weather, all the bugs that have been going around... I'm just trying to hang in there for a possible summer! |

I think that people are tired after Christmas and also feeling the effects of the cold spell of weather.

I am irritable (excited state) at work, but simply tired (relaxed state) at home.
There have been multiple parties over the Christmas and New Year period. What's worse, this year's Chinese New Year (which is a major festival for my ethnic group and in my country) is coming on 26 Jan. With tight work schedules and piano/singing exams coming up in February, I feel like I am slightly strangled... On weekends, I just want to stay home and rest... |

I know that feeling!! Every night I get in and I sit down for dinner thinking...I just, want, to, stop, for a week, and, do....nothing....and then I have to try and stay awake to eat lol...being exhausted definitely doesn't help irritability!!
