Try turning it upside down so the top is facing the floor and 'rocking' it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) That's what i was told to do to get the rosin dust out of my violin and also i got a big chunk of rosin stuck in my old violin (don't ask how!) and i did that and it eventually came out!
Still think it's a good idea to take it to a luthier though
