I'm doing gd. 1 this summer but am starting to play more pieces out of the time book, now no way do I think I'm up to the standard of my orchestra yet!!
BUT there is a waiting list for clarinet players and we are really down on strings - one viola that is it for the viola section! The orchestra know I play and that I eventually intend to move over to viola, do you think it would be unresonable to ask for the music now to practise? Nicia (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clarinet.gif) Won't they be doing completely different pieces by the time you're ready to join them? Also - and I don't mean this to be patronising if you're an advanced musician already on the clarinet - I wouldn't normally advise pupils to learn music which is technically way above their abilities as it could be demoralising and they would probably play it badly. Or do you mean asking for the clarinet music to practise? Sorry; slightly confused... |
