His web-site www.alexprior.co.uk should give you more than enough examples of his music and overall style.

He is going to be seriously embarassed about some of those photos when/if he grows up (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

And not only the photos, one hopes. Still, an un-televised session or 2 in front of a stroppy pro orchestra should do the trick.

As one of those little Chinese cherubs rather perspicaciously put it: 'Maybe he just likes himself?'

Having said that, I'm mighty relieved there are no videos in existence of me aged 16 or so.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I think so. It's the last one I believe.

According to Wikipedia, "Alex’s most recent commission is by the St Petersburg Concert Society, for an oratorio based on "Nevsky Prospekt" by Google, which will be premiered in the Philharmonic Hall in December 2009." (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

The reviewer in the Guardian didn't think much of him, either: http://www.guardian.co.uk/culture/2009/jun...eview-ross-kemp

This is my favourite quote:

If he irritates you, you can always use the remote control I guess. Having seen a short trailer about the programme, I was very aware that his arrogance would have got right up my nose, so didn't bother to tune in.

smug! That is the word I was looking for.

I'd like to see a second series - but this time set it in a Liverpool pub and see how long he lasts before someone picks him up and throws him through a window.
