It is exciting, isn't it? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I hope you all settle in quickly and that you'll all have a fab time! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I remember starting 6 years ago - I'm still here (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif)

I don't start till 4th October, so still almost 3 weeks to go. It's weird because everyone seems to be disappearing off already and I'm only just starting to think about buying plates and quilts and things. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif)

Another disadvantage of going late is that you also finish late, so you miss out on school A-level presentations and seasonal work. Still, you'll have a good excuse to come home and just flop ready for Christmas! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Oh, I'm not particularly wishing I was leaving already, it's more that I'm quite shocked that everyone seems to be going so soon. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I'm savouring the last few weeks of freedom (and music lessons!) at the moment. I'm going to be going to Durham for maths.

Not for flipping ages! I'm so bored stuck at home. I'd go back early but all my friends have to travel too far to go home easily, and so are spending the whole holiday at home catching up with family stuff.

I must admit that I'm very glad that I don't have to go back for another year. Work is much more fun, and I'm getting paid to do it. Learning loads too.

Best of luck to all the new starters.

Yes, good luck to all the first years - what an exciting time you're about to have!

10,000 is nothing (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

The maximum limit for my PhD thesis is 100,000 words or 300 pages (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ill.gif)
