Hey, folks!

Thought I'd start a thread where we can share our favourite clips of all those great brass players. Here are two to start us off.

As a jazz trombonist, I love showing my trumpet pupils this and watching their faces! To the uninitiated, the tune is a harmonization of an improvisation by Clifford Brown and all the solos that follow are improvised.

For virtuosity of a different type, I can really appreciate Alison's style, tone and clarity of articulation. Very classy!

Please comment and leave your own fave clips for us to see!

What a sound, what musicality...

Not sure if this counts as not much in the way of video, but...

This is good fun too:

Edited to add:

Saw these guys at Easter when they came to the UK. Amazing. I have never seen so much enthusiasm before. Their big band was just amazing - no clips on youtube so one of the orchestra from the Proms will have to do!

How about this for a different kind of brass ensemble and what an amazing trombone soloist!
