Have found a tune that seems to fit with the builders drill (which I can hear clearly from 4 floors away!) - the Blues Brothers Peter Gunn Theme bass line fits perfectly, so if I whack up the volume it justs sounds like I have a giant sub woofer instead of a drill... maybe now I can get on with some of my teaching dip homework!!

How inconsiderate, you'd think that could manage to do something that could go along with the 1812 Overture? Or better still the Anvil Chorus? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

There are workmen resurfacing the main road which my road joins - they have just started drilling! I hope it doesn't go on all day!
