Advanced Member Group: Members Posts: 297 Joined: 28-August 07 Member No.: 15203	I'm thinking about becoming a Priority member on Musicteachers.co.uk, where you pay to have your listing above the other teachers. I already have a free 1-liner there but it's generated little response, and I'd like to know other teacher's experiences before taking the plunge with a paying advert.

Advanced Member Group: Members Posts: 826 Joined: 15-February 09 Member No.: 56015	Premium membership has definitely helped, but do make sure you are on as many free website as well, including gumtree and such like. Don't forget the yellow pages or Yell, any local information site run by the council or local libraries. You need to keep appearing in lots of different places, basically.

Some of the sites are local to me, but there should be similar sites for others. Good idea David. When I ask, people often say that they looked at a number of sites, not just one, so spread your favours wide folks!!

Advanced Member Group: Members Posts: 826 Joined: 15-February 09 Member No.: 56015	Interesting, I haven't even finished looking at the number of places my name cropped up, various different websites covering national and local services. The main ones are schoolofeveryting, musicteachers.co.uk, yell and upmystreet. It turns out that I have much wider coverage than I ever imagined. I only pay for musicteachers.co.uk and yell. The other all seem to list me for free, even though I don't pay for their services. It is raised an interesting point for me, fortunately I haven't come across any reviews yet, and don't want to!!! I am going to have a little play on the internet over the next few weeks and make sure all my details are accurate. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif)
