"Eight Legged Freaks" was the prime suspect!

Is it fairly recent? Was it the one in the cinemas a few years ago? I think I remember the poster for it...

I'd have thought he was thinking of Arachnaphobia. Hah, I just remembered Starship Troopers too, those creatures are crazy! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

The Omen STILL terrifies me...and I'm stooopid enough to watch it every time it's on telly. It's not even the evil child, it's the music and bolt of lightening that appears in all the photos. The Ring comes a close second, I watched that on my own, when it was light outside and had to stop it every so often and watch some regular tv to calm me down. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

I thought Cloverfield was annoying, not just for juddery camera work. I was praying the camera-man would come a croper for most of it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Hmmmm, now do I go hunting for 'Killer Clowns from Outer Space'.....?

Edit: on second thoughts, it looks more silly than scary:

When I was teenager my friend made me sit and watch The Exorcist on a Saturday afternoon with the curtains closed. It took me a long time to get over those nightmares!

Then I 'accidentally' saw The Omen : I had to watch to the end to make sure it had a happy ending ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

Then recently I saw a TV film called '28 Days' which was just utterly horrific and, as an adult, gave me nightmares for months! I scare very easily and they scared me stupid.

I genuinely do not like horror and saw these films pretty much against my will.... yes I should have left the room but I really didn't know what was coming.... I won't be watching them again.

I wonder if it's an age thing.

I loved horror films in my teens and twenties, but later I realised that I wanted cheering up and entertaining.

These days, although I'll read all sorts of books, I will not commit myself to watching a film unless it's a comedy, sci-fi or at least not terribly sad.

I watched Tom and Jerry after The Ring (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) And your picture scared the life out of me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

These also necessitate the use of a cushion while watching:
The Silence of the Lambs

No, not Arachnophobia: Of that I'm sure. Eight Legged Freaks is still the most likely (yes, not that long ago). I'm not going to look into this thread again - just thinking about it makes me uncomfortable.

The scariest movies for me at the moment are the home movies of junior when he was 12 months old as it makes me realise how time doesn't just fly, it breaks the sound barrier too........

(Can't say as to any other movies as I never watch horror, movies anyway..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) )

Aw, shame! Is it really scary?

I was watching the Underworld double bill (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) It's not scary but it's pretty gory at times.

The Shining, The Blair Witch Project, and anything with ventriloquist-goes-mad plotline (what was the one with Anthony Hopkins?....) And, speaking of Anthony Hopkins, Silence of the Lambs.

The Others was scarey but really good.

I'm not a fan of the Hallowe'en or Friday 13th films, or that sort of thing, though I've seen the first Hallowe'en a couple of times.

I love Masque of the Red Death and most things with Vincent Price.

So was I! Cheesy action all the way (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

28 Days Later screwed me up a bit, mostly because the zombies ran rather than shuffled.
Alien was pretty scary when I was twelve, didn't sleep for a week afterwards! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif)
