Hi all,
I was looking at a suitable cello for a beginner and wondered if anyone had an opinion of the best student type and where from. I've seen some Chinese ones and The Antoni outfits. Both new. Also, as with violins are Dominants good to use on these types of cellos or are there some better ones at around the same price ? Thanks in advance. Fiona |

My son is 7 and has started the cello. He has a 1/4 Stentor 2 which I bought 2nd hand from the paper for £45 which was an absolute bargain as it was off someone who gave up soon after purchase... parent must have been mad to sell that cheap !!!
I like the dominants on the violin too which are under £30 a set but for the cello you are looking at nearly £90 a set. I was shock when I found this out but I have found a cheap place to buy the dominants for cello. |

THanks for the reply.
What a bargain ! I know what you mean with the strings. Luckily, I found a shop which was closing down and got my violin strings for uner £17 including the silver strings. You wouldn't like to PM the place you purchased the strings would you ? Fiona |
