Revise-last GCSE exam tomorrow! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

If it's a GCSE in Speed-posting, you'll waltz it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Russian in the morning or Music-listening in the afternoon?

No, it's not a dance exam (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) yes, it's music in the afternoon (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Earlier this afternoon I was invited to invigilate this one tomorrow, but I declined the offer.

Firstly, because if they include Heavy-Metal/Garage/ .... actually anything other than Classical and I have to sit/stand through a performance " ... now for the fifth time ..." I'll blow a gasket. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

Secondly, I was advised last year to put my hands in my pockets (which I did) for fear of giving away answers unintentionally - afterwards I calculated that I could have given away nearly 10 marks, had students witnessed me tapping out rhythms, playing air-keyboard or 'conducting', as I'm wont to do!

Thirdly, with the date of my Diploma exam received today, suddenly it has become all the more real, so I'm valuing practice-time all the more - after all, I'm invigilating every day next week as it is!

Good luck by the way! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

If it's the same exam I'm going, there's four areas of study-the classical/baroque/romantic section, a section on serialism/minimalism/experimental, a third section on Brit Pop and popular music, and then "world music"-so not just classical! And that sounds rather intriguing-I'm sure the students would have regarded that with much hilarity! Thank you, and good luck with your diploma! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Sadly singing at a funeral of a friend :-(
The chaplain of the church of our choir, received an MBE for services to music, and 2 days later sadly had a heartattack, the excitement was too much for him. We have managed to get 30 of the choir at lunch time, so I'm looking forward to it, and then I'm not....

Sort out some sewing kit and plant up a pot if the plants have recovered from wilting in the sun.
