*** London Baroque & Tribute Playday***

in memory of David (Clavicembalo)

(With Fazioli Grand and Goble Harpsichord)

***BOOKED for 30th October @ Peregrine's Pianos - 12-4pm.***

NOTE CHANGE OF VENUE!
Also, due to circumstances, other styles of music are welcome in order to accomodate those who may wish to play something in tribute to David (Clavicembalo) who will be sadly missed by us all. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

PEREGRINE'S PIANOS
137A Gray's Inn Road . London WC1X 8TU . UK

Due to popular demand, I've arranged another Baroque playday. Again, we'll have use of the gorgeous-sounding Goble harpsichord and Fazioli grand in the large rehearsal space. As is the norm with these events, it's not a formal concert, so it's a good opportunity for everyone to polish up some baroque pieces to play to a supportive audience (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) If you've been avoiding Baroque music in your studies, here is an incentive to learn some!

Pianists, Harpsichordists, Recorder players, flautists, other woodwind, singers etc all welcome.

Cost: GBP 20
Please can people register their interest - some have already in the other thread so if they could confirm here, that would be great. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I think I'll be a tiny bit bit more organised this time around. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Once we have confirmations in I'll get a basic application form set up as Barry has kindly offered to let me use his PO box.

I'm going to make an effort to get a fair amount of solo harpsichord stuff ready for the day - mountains of work on other stuff left me a bit lacking the last time around! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Hopefully I should be able to join in with recorder by then, too!

Offer's still there : if you get an easy solo sorted, I'll go out of my comfort zone and I'll accompany you on something keyboard-ish. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Can I register interest please? I won't be able to confirm for a few weeks though as I haven't got my schedule for the autumn through yet.

Yep, there's obviously tonnes of time left. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) When it gets a bit closer, I'll contact all the confirmed attendees and get the ball rolling with what everyone's planning to play.

TfL have just put engineering work details up for 30th October - the good news is that there is no work scheduled for the Jubilee line, the northern half of the Metropolitan line or the northern half of the Northern line that weekend. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Bakerloo north of Paddington I believe is out of action : but that won't affect you : your journey, First Great Western allowing, should be fine! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
