On the other hand, have just about mastered Barry's accompaniment in Eminor as long as I remember which one is the sixth flat, and as long as you don't pay too much attention to the arpeggios with 9 notes in that have nearly four octaves between the first and last notes (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) .

I don't mind missed out notes! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

My route will take me from the outer reaches of South East London to London Bridge, then Northern Line to King's Cross, from where I'll walk down Gray's Inn Road, and I'm happy to meet anyone en route. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

That's very kind, but you have paid for nine notes and that is what you are going to get, hopefully the right ones in the right order (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) .

I have just remembered, I have a reservation on the train in one of the quiet compartments, so I should be able to get an hour's practice on my flute on the way down (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) .

Just been trying to work out what 'eminor' is. Oh, that would be E Minor. D'oh I am an idiot sometimes (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Thanks, but you missed the big mistake - I meant Eb Minor anyway (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) .

This computer doesn't type as well as it did when it was new.

Are we all ready for tomorrow? I'm sure it'll be a very fitting tribute to clavicembalo. And many thanks to Solari for setting this up.

Yes, as ready as I will be, accompaniments are prepared.

I must take it easy on the red wine tonight, the sparse weekend train service from here means I have to be on the 0802 train in the morning to get there in time for midday. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I'm sure the people in the "quiet" carriage will turn off their mobile phones and Ipods to listen to your music! You'll be able to get your hat out.

PICNIC.
I had to look this up, Sol, so for anyone else puzzled like me - "Problem In Chair, Not In Computer".

The trouble is, you are so right! I used to be able to touch type at around 70 words a minute, with pretty good accuracy. Now it is probably half that with half the accuracy!

That's given me an idea for a new type of Forum event. We all gather together in one carriage on a certain date and time, and play for fun - if we get any money it can go towards our train fares (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) .

It is when we are all saying "This piano doesn't play as well as it used to" that we ought to become worried (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Many years ago, me and a group of friends just played in a District line tube carriage, just for fun. It was great (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yay.gif)

Clavi-tributers...

I hope you have loads of fun playing wonderful music... I'm sure you will do great honour to David's memory and wish I could be there.

As I drag myself out of bed at 4am to go back to Costa Rica from Honduras I will be thinking of you all and him.
