I have been lurking around the forums for over a year now and have found them really interesting and helpful.
I play the violin and passed Grade 5 in 1971. This was followed by a l-o-o-n-g gap! At the beginning of 2008 I restarted lessons, and passed Grade 7 in July 2009, with 128 (alas, the aural tests! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ) For the past year I've also been playing in a local orchestra, which has been a great experience, and hope to continue this and perhaps join a second orchestra from September. I look forward to reading about others' musical experience on the forums. |

Hey everyone - many thanks for the words of welcome! Been meaning to post for ages, but had inadvertently chosen a name very similar to that of a fairly prolific poster on here already, and didn't want to cause confusion.
