It seems to be not that far from St. Enoch subway station. This is good, because Louise and I are staying in a hotel about 2 minutes walk from Kelvinbridge subway station... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Note that on a Sunday the service only runs from 10am to about 5.30pm - times here. I guess it would leave from Kelvinbridge at about 10.25, then about 8 minutes to St Enoch and another 5 minute walk from there to the Tron.

Thanks mcm. So it's the bus back on Sunday night then... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I would really like to go to the meal afterward but I have to get a train back to Edinburgh so don't know if this is feasible. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I was also wondering if anyone knows anything about bus timetable/route information as I seem to be going round in circles trying to get information (story of my life at the moment (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) )

What bus information are you looking for? If it's to get from Central Station to the Tron, I can have a look for you... but it is around 10 minutes walking distance. It would be great if you could join us for the meal - what kind of time would you have to look at getting a train back?

Last train from Central is 11.15. I was more worried about getting back to the station after the meal seeing as the subway closes at 5.30.

The service from Queen Street is quicker (54 minutes), and it is not much further to walk to the Tron. Last trains back are 2230 and 2330. Timetable here. Or the last train back from Central is 2337, arriving Waverley at 0044. The 2315 from Central starts with a bus transfer to Queen Street!

Unless you have a mobility problem it is not worth taking a bus from Central, as the one-way system around a pedestrianised area sends you around three sides of a square - it is much quicker to walk.

What mcm says is totally true!! Much much quicker to walk! (if possible!) We will be eating around the centre of Glasgow, so getting back to either station will be fine... You shouldn't need to rely on the subway at all...

(Barry and Louise - there are loads of night buses out to Kelvinbridge area too so you will be fine also!)

Ok, cheers for the info. Seems I'm even more dense about modern technology than I realised - for some reason the information I got suggested the Queen Street trains stopped about 6. I'm sure I must have some kind of dumbing effect on technology I use...

Cool, thanks muzikalbadger! If I manage to use the single brain cell I possess, I'll print out the SPT bus route map/guide...
