For anyone who's interested, there's going to be an instrument taster day at the Yorkshire College of Music & Drama in Leeds on Saturday 11 December, 11am-2pm. There will be a range of instruments to try out, including:
- clarinet - flute - recorder - saxophone - piano - violin - guitar I don't know which members of the recorder/sax families will be there but any questions, give the college a ring on 0113 243 1605. Some of the teachers will be there as well to give advice. The new location for the Yorkshire College of Music & Drama is opposite the Engineering building of the University of Leeds: 1 St Mark's Avenue Leeds LS2 9BN (but please note that if you're taking exams at the college, this session's exams are being held at the previous location on Shire Oak Road) |

Is it true that the clarinet tastes like liquorice? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
I would love to go to one of these events, but our orchestra is repeating its Friday night concert on this Saturday afternoon for the people at the hall where we rehearse (Queen Alexandra College for people with sight disabilities). Maybe there will be one next year. |
