Just Done My Flute Atcl Options

Well, I finally did my flute diploma this morning.

My overall summary would be that it was alright but nothing special. My performance didn't have the extra gloss that I really would have wanted and that I was capable of.

Bach: first piece - nervous. Usually I especially love the first movement but was slightly freaking out. Was breathing in all the wrong places as I was nervous and thinking 'ahhh, I am doing my diploma'. The third movement really wasn't that exciting for the listener.

Donizetti - I perked up a bit although didn't do the Largo very Largo ish. And panicked slightly because it was faster than I had done it previously. But I think the Allegro was fairly convincing, even if I ended quite sharply.

Busser - I REALLY did not give the space this needed. Oh dear. Infact, I am not sure how well it came across. I can't remember the fast movement.

Honegger - This was over really quickly. Probably will get marked down for not doing great dynamics. I felt really tight in this.

Harty - no major ensemble issues but really disappointed that I didn't perform this better. In this piece, my keys were sticking which was frustrating as I was playing the notes but it might not have sounded like it!

Not really sure to be honest. Just a bit mentally drained/disappointed.

Sound like you held it together - well done. Just need to wait patiently now; always the hardest part.
