I've recently got a laptop of my own and we have installed Microsoft Office 2010, Student version. I am using Outlook for emails, although it says 'Trial' at the top so I'm not sure if it'll expire after a month. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Anyway, the problem as stated above is that any emails I sent were never appearing in the Sent Items folder. At the moment I've set up a 'Rule' that makes copies of sent messages in that folder, but it seems rather a roundabout way of doing things. The messages there all appear as 'unread' too, which confuses me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif)

I have checked the Options/Settings and it definitely says that sent messages should be being saved. My dad (resident technical person) is away, but he isn't used to Outlook either (we have Windows 97 on our old computer!)
Help!

I've found this knowledge base entry which may be relevant : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/184059
and there may be something useful in this thread: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums...6-eb43b5e9ccb2/

Chris

The second link is about Outlook Express, and Outlook 2010 doesn't have a 'Tools' option as is suggested. I have seen the first link before when searching Google for a solution, but the suggestions that I can actually understand don't work... I will continue to search, thank you for your help. They don't call it Microsoft LookOut for no reason. I'd seriously look at using a better mail client. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thunderbird is free.

Couldn't find the other computer questions thread....

So I decided I wanted to look at something on the Sibelius scorch site.... easy....no.
Haven't used it since I got my new computer so I had to download Scorch so now it's ok? No
Not compatible with google chrome. So I though I'll switch to Firefox as my browser. That turns out to be a pain as I can't find out how to export my bookmarks from Google Chrome.... never mind, last resort go to IE. Also can't export my bookmarks.
So if I want to use the sibelius site I have to use a separate browser just for that?

Anyone know how to export bookmarks from google Chrome to another browser?
I had no problem doing it the other way round when I first switched so it doesn't seem fair.

I think I've found the answer! In the folder [email account], there is a folder called 'Gmail' which contains the sub-folder 'sent mail', where all of the sent messages are going! Originally, when trying to open the 'Gmail' folder it said it was empty, but that was because it was showing only messages, not sub-folders. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
