It was great experience for my daughter and she now can use the postnominals of ATCL after her name should she want to (doubt she will as the kids at school would laugh their socks off!) Yes I know its a bit pompous to do that, but I couldnt resist writing my name and ALCM on some of my school books way back in 1963 ! You really just want to do it ! - and I didnt get any adverse reaction from friends. But for some reason I could have done without the Headmaster announcing it in assembly. Well, in such cases I think a little modesty could be forgiven...for about a minute or two , then the celebrations begin... and the postnominals are proudly shown off ;-)
Llongyfarchiadau to KixMusic, her daughter and accompanist (IMG:style_emoticons/default/party1.gif) |

OK, that’s enough! I really have to stop being congratulated on someone else’s achievement. My contribution = a few hours of stumbling through accompaniments. KixMusic + JuniorKix = years of hard work!!

OK, that?s enough! I really have to stop being congratulated on someone else?s achievement. My contribution = a few hours of stumbling through accompaniments. KixMusic + JuniorKix = years of hard work!! *cough* That's not how it is at all - the right accompanist can make all the difference, the wrong one can destroy the outcome. Music is collaborative, and I for one can have my performance lifted or flattened by what's happening in the bassline. *thinks* or does a trombonist actually need a treble line for accompaniment (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)? As far as the result goes, many congratulations are well deserved I think (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) - and I'd like to add, I'm prouder of my musical postnominals than I am of the medical ones. Just sad I really don't have any opportunity to use them.... so if KixMusic's daughter can, then she should (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif). (IMG:style_emoticons/default/woot.gif) for the results, all round. |
