That was brilliant!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hurrah.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piano.gif) That made my day (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) and I'm not even a 'cat person' (I'm slightly allergic to them).

Now I'm off to teach my dog to play the oboe.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

When one of out cats did something unmentionable I reminded him what violin strings used to be made of.

When no2son arrived back with a broken D string and the remainder of the strings tuned rather sharp that another one going was inevitable I got a rather worried look. He was even more worried when the E string snapped or should I say the F# string.

My aforementioned moggie was very relieved to hear me on the telephone to the local musicshop to get the violin restrung (it now has a set of dominants on) I now have some peg-paste and on future occasions I'll make sure either his teacher is present or I'll tune his violin. The G string was tuned to Bb. The A string was tuned to B, and the E string tuned to F# how the bridge did not collapse is anyone's guess!

I may not be a string player, but I have learnt to hold a bow well enough to tune a violin!
