My son's violinist girlfriend would like copy of this for Christmas. However, looking in Musicroom, I notice a copy they have that has a different ending. Does anyone know who publishes the original please?

Could you give us a link to the version with the different ending? (My hunch is that maybe the original opera version doesn't end in a way suitable for concert performance, and so was altered to give us the familiar violin solo.)

Both the original score and arrangements for various instruments (solo or in combination), are available for comparison on the IMSLP site.
