However, looking in Musicroom, I notice a copy they have that has a different ending. Does anyone know who publishes the original please? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/anyone.gif)

(My hunch is that maybe the original opera version doesn't end in a way suitable for concert performance, and so was altered to give us the familiar violin solo.)

Looking at the customer feedback, it seems that they have made changes to the ending. But I think I have tracked down a copy like the one I used to have and appear to have mislaid, and that has the original ending. No, a free download wouldn't look quite so impressive under the Christmas tree! And I think we'd like to make a good impression as we have never met this particular girlfriend before, and she is coming to stay! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/eek.gif)
