Just wondered whether anyone had had any results yet. The online system now shows a timetable for the release of results, which suggests that some should be available now. My batch of exams were a special visit just before week one but I have heard nothing yet...

(Just getting twitchy because I'm pretty sure to get my first ever fail)

I've put this in the Teacher section but it's open to anyone...

I'm twitching, too! The Sons' exams were on day 2 of the exam period, so based on the published timetable I was rather expecting something would have appeared by now... Son No.1 went a bit off the rails at the end of his study, and whilst the rest of the exam went OK, as far as I can tell, I'm a bit nervous that even though he will have passed (I hope!) the result may be disappointing.

The timetable seems to be unavailable at the moment - perhaps they are changing it to be less optimistic...

I'll be impressed if my results from the 5th of March come out as per the timetable which says 12 - 15th March.

Still nothing here. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Whilst I applaud the idea of having a timetable for issuing results, it maybe would have been better to have made it a bit more conservative... Providing results 'early' wouldn't be a problem, but providing them 'late' just causes frustration.

[As an aside, OH can't understand why ABRSM takes so long to issue the results at all. As he pointed out, the examiner knows whether or not you've passed before you even leave the building, and knows the individual test marks as well. So why does it take weeks before candidates get to know even this basic information?]

I can still remember a few years ago when my brother and I took exams within a week or so of each other - he did his with Rockschool, I did mine with ABRSM. His results arrived about a month before mine did!!

Results have landed! (Email notification was sent very late afternoon / early evening.)

Both Sons passed (relief!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hurrah.gif)): Son No.1 got a respectable pass (116) for Gr 6 trumpet despite the disaster on his study, and Son No.2 got a merit (126) for Gr 3 clarinet, so we are rather pleased and proud!!

We're now waiting. Grade 3 bassoon was taken today.

She says there were some wrong notes in the scales and the examiner gave her a knowing look when she put the E flat in on the way down that she had forgotten on the way up. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) She seemed pleased that the piece of sightreading had no dynamic marks. Is that normal at grade 3? Overall doesn't sound too bad.
