Congratulations to everyone on lots of good results so far.

I'm now on the waiting bench for my three pupils who did exams this session - all at different venues with the last one this morning doing AB who came out with positive comments apart from fluffing the first scale. I'm rather anxious about my two TG ones but hope to get my first TG one from 12th March very soon and the second one, which I'm most worried about, around the end of the week - otherwise I'll be biting my nails!

Musical son got his grade 8 sax result today. I'd told him he hadn't taken it seriously enough and that the expectation at grade 8 was likely to be different from previous grades, in order to prepare him for disappointment.

He got 142 - his best ever sax result. Shows what I know!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Congrats! Awesome result! Well done to your son.....

Thank you.

And for anyone measuring the time to get results - his exam was taken at a centre on Thursday 15th March, Results were on the website Friday 23rd March. In line with the results timetable.

Congratulations to your son richardn - great result!

Thanks for the information on results' time. Sounds not too bad. I'm on the bench now, and hoping for results before the Easter break.

I'm back on the bench for one last result from an exam yesterday. Hope the wait is a little shorter this time...

My pupil who did Grade 3 piano last Saturday got a distinction. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

She was the one I was most anxious about because she only really knuckled down to working hard in the last 3 weeks leading up to the exam, particularly scales and the exercises (TG). She was really nervous on the day too. I did expect her to pass and I thought if everything went well, she might get a merit. Now I'm questioning whether my assessment was too harsh or whether the examiner was quite generous! Anyway, I'm hugely relieved and now we can look at some fun, new repertoire for the summer term!
