That's a very nice looking case. Shame that cello cases have to be so functional.

I do have a nice Selmer case for my Sax. Sadly, I don't have a Selmer sax to put inside the case (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Anyone giving away a nice Mark VI alto? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I'm quite jealous (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ( in a nice way of course (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/party1.gif) )

I would LOVE a Musafia case for Hannah so am watching the 'bargain' page... but they never have viola ones in the sale (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

The blue with silk looks beatiful----congratulations !

I ordered a Musafia case the other day (but sadly no silk---should I change my mind ?) and I should get it in a few months time.

I am afraid I am not treating my present old, and much loved instrument, (not valuable) but the new case is for the new fiddle I am having made by our local violin maker---which I will not get till next year !
I expected my violin teacher, and one of the local fiddle teachers who has one of these instruments, to tell me it was OTT for someone of my age and limited capabilities, but they both said to go for it---I can afford it at the moment---cannot take it with me---may as well enjoy the playing------

So---the new violin (Italian style copy) will come home to a modern Cremonese case-----I just have to be patient, and hope that I am not too arthritic, demented or deaf by the time I get them!

That all sounds brilliant Louloubelle (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
I wouldn't usually spend this much but it's my 21st birthday and i have very generous family! And they would rather me spend it on something big that i'll treasure and keep rather than whittle it all away on clothes etc. so i think its a justified purchase (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
What model and colour have you ordered? I do very much like the momentum with the plain red interior, but i think the blue flowery silk is more 'me' and they happen to have it in the shop already, which has now been put away waiting for me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)
Lottie keep watching that page, you never know!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I've had another look at their web site - some really nice cases. Sadly, viols and cellos aren't as well served. This is a case for a bass viol - rather expensive and fairly functional. A tenor is much smaller, but I suspect the price won't be (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Eek - you need to add VAT to the prices....

I seem to recollect that somewhere on the Musafia wesite is a picture of a case they mad for a viol.....bet it's even pricier than a usual Musafia! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I have a Musafia like Hubicka's - also a Momentum Z, but different colour. Always draws admiring glances... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif)

Kinghams make made-to-measure cases and are the commonest cases for viols and lutes. For my tenor GBP350 + VAT + another 20% if you want velvet instead of plush linings. Still very functional...

Yes, can I add a plug for Kingham's who made a case for daughter's slightly unusual bass clarinet? See http://www.abrsm.org/forum/index.php?showt...;#entry972572an

I have a question for Hubicka and Jessy, and anyone else who has a Musafia Momentum case.

I am very interested to see that Hubicka is getting a Momentum case, and Jessy has one already.
I was put off this model becausee of the measurements----Musafia quote a maximum bow length which Musafia quote for this case is shorter than my 3 bows, and the shop through which I have orderded my case agreed that it was very tight. The only bows which seem to be shorter than mine are Arcus---not sensible for me with my present fiddle.

Question therefore-----how do you find the Momentum model and the fit of your bows?
